How Come It is So Difficult to Push Past Our Comfort Zone?

October 19, 2016 Adam Sonnhalter

Jack Mencini , co-host of Dirty Secrets of Small Business™ asks the How Come question of how come it is so difficult to push past our comfort zone? Is it because of the risk of the unknown?

It is much safer to stay with something that you know rather than what you don’t know to push the boundaries. If you push, really push… the secret is that you approach the changes in the wrong way resulting in going back to doing what you are always doing. You take the big plunge and you scare yourself right back in to remission. The secret is to do it in small steps. If you push past your comfort zone with small changes to build up to a huge change , it will make it much easier. Changing daily habits… a small change will lead to helping you push past your comfort zone and past your natural state.

Small changes push on the walls of your comfort zone and over time the zone expands to allow changes to take place. Try new things and develop a skill base and bringing in new skills by pushing your comfort zone.

Comfort kills productivity…people do what they know what to do, but to grow, you have to take on new skills and push yourself to grow as an individual… as a business owner and for the growth and sustainability of your business.
