How Come We Do the Things We Don’t Like to Do?

October 28, 2016 Adam Sonnhalter

On Dirty Secret of Small Business, Jack Mencini and Adam Sonnhalter talk about the How Come question of the week. Jack has pondered the question: If life is so short, how come we do so many things we don’t like and like so many thing we don’t do. Are we trapped as small business owners? Too many financial and family obligations. Ask yourself: Why am I in to those obligations?

Too many times, people aren’t really doing what they love to do. Perhaps, they need to examine what they really want to do.

We coach our clients that with their key employees, they should have a good discussion during the yearly performance review on goals and aspirations. The employee should lay out goals for their career plus their life in general so that it is meaningful and to see how the business owner can help them achieve those professional and personal goals.

If you have a How Come Question call into Dirty Secrets of Small Business every Monday at noon (EST) at 440-946-9468 or email radio@maximumvp.com. Visit https://maximumvp.com for more insights on small business issues.
