Dirty Secrets of Small Business: Be Yourself

How many people in small businesses try to be someone else when they just should be themselves? Jack Mencini and Adam Sonnhalter of Maximum Value Partners help their clients be comfortable in their own skin. Using a tool called DISC, a simple questionnaire asking 24 questions taking 10 minutes.

The results give insight on their natural style and how to interact most effectively with their teams and their clients.
This behavior assessment lifts a big weight off a clients shoulders to embrace who they are and centering on their strengths to truly be themselves and be OK with being themselves.
Jack quotes Alan Watts, “Waking up to who you are requires letting go of who you imagine yourself to be.” Why, as a leader, why can’t you be in the present moment and realize that you might upset someone but be yourself and be human. Fight negative thoughts and listen to your inner voice.
