There are many ideas that come to you as a small business owner that triggers something in your mind to get you off course. It can be boring running a company that is churning along OK. When this happens, it is easy to not be focused and pull you off task.
Most of their clients get diverted pretty quickly and we see it when we get the midnight emails with them focusing on the lose ends rather than the big picture. People will get 80% of the project finished and lose steam…. You need to stay focused to get to the finish line tape. You can’t get tired or just stop. You need to be laser focused on getting the job done!
Depending on you style and your behavior assessment through DISC, and understanding what works for your behavior and personality. If you know your style, the behavior and characteristics of your employees too, this will ultimately help you and your team stay focused!
Here are some things to consider:
- Find out why people are not focused?
- What do you focus on?
- What are the tasks at hand and what is important?
- Plan!
