Midan Marketing’s Unique Focus is a Recipe for Success
At Midan Marketing, the saying “it’s a meat market” brings to mind growth, opportunity and consumer education. The full-service marketing firm proudly lives, breathes, eats, reads, writes and talks about meat. It is the only marketing firm specializing in the meat industry—from farm-to-table.
Since founding Midan Marketing as a small general marketing services firm in 2004, business owners Danette Amstein and Michael Uetz have evolved their company into the go-to agency for the meat industry.
But Midan Marketing did not undergo this evolution alone. It engaged Maximum Value Partners (MVP) for its expertise in growing small and start-up organizations. MVP specializes in helping small business owners answer the question of “how”—how to expand, how to restructure, how to make more money, how to make the next big leap.
“As Midan Marketing began to grow, Michael and I realized we were experts in our trade, but needed assistance in growing Midan,” said Danette Amstein, co-founder and principal, Midan Marketing. “Growth meant change and we needed a partner to help us navigate a new path. MVP helped us build a solid foundation for our future.”
With the help of Adam Sonnhalter and Jack Mencini at MVP, Midan Marketing has steadily increased its revenue and now has 25 employees in five states. Midan Marketing has also gone from relying on one key client to now serving several key internationally-known core clients.
“MVP helped Danette and me realize that if we wanted Midan to grow, we needed to focus our attention on running and growing the company,” said Michael Uetz, co-founder and principal, Midan Marketing.
Working with MVP, Danette and Michael developed a ten-year vision for Midan Marketing. This exercise helped Midan Marketing realize its expertise and experience working with clients in the meat industry, which has become its exclusive niche.
MVP applies a “Seven Keys to Success” framework to the development of a business strategy that is customized to fit the needs and goals of the individual business owner. The “Seven Keys to Success” include:
• Vision
• Profit Plan
• Marketing Plan
• Organizational Plan
• Leadership
• Cash Flow Forecast
• Presentation
“Many small business owners have a big vision but lack the skill set to realize it,” said Jack. “The Seven Keys for Success framework gives business owners the confidence and ability to succeed. Our collective background and experience can help guide them toward their goals no matter what stage they are in.”
Over the years, Midan Marketing’s relationship with MVP has evolved. MVP also works closely with members of the Midan Marketing management team, while Danette and Michael continue to work with Adam and Jack to stay on track with their long-term business strategy.
“Hiring a coach is an investment in your company and future. Midan Marketing is growing and others are taking notice of our success,” said Danette and Michael.
