While talking to his co-host and business partner with Maximum Value Partners, Jack Mencini, the tip was revealed that the business owner can have an agreement with the family that the business owner could have time either early in the morning or once during the day while on vacation to check on the business.
Everyone needs a time for a break away from the small business, but it also should be at a time when the business owner feels that he or she has a solid team back at the business to feel confident that the business will survive even if the owner is away.
It is important to let the family know that you, as a business owner and part of the family , need to have an agreement with them that you will check on the business while on vacation (brief time periods to check) and to also have time to unplug and focus on fun with the family.
